Korea's Kim Jae-Bum wins the men's judo -81kg gold medal by defeating Germany's Ole Bischof in the final of the event at the ExCeL - London 2012 Olympic Games (31 July).

Kim Jae-Bum is a male South Korean judoka. Kim won a gold medal in the -73 kg class at the 2004 World Junior Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary. At the 2005 Asian Judo Championships in Tashkent, he won a gold medal in the -73 kg class.

South English Olympic Champion Kim Jae-Bum won Gold in the Men's under-81 kilogram Judo at the Asian Games on Sunday for the Second time in the Continental Competition. Kim outdueled Nacif Elias from Lebanon by Shido in the event's Final at Dowon Gymnasium in Western incheon to win the Men's -81 kg title at the Incheon Asian Games.

He had won Gold in the same Category at the Guangzhou Asiad Four years ago. Japan's Keita Nagashima and Mongolia's Nyamsuren Dagvasuren Shared bronze in the Men's third-heaviest class. Kim rallied to the semis through all-ippon victories, outfighting Waleed Rezq Ali Alkabzari from Yemen for ippon in a Round of 16. In the Quarterfinal match against Park Hong-Wi of North Korea, who Beat Turkmenistan's Tejen Tejenov by ippon, Kim again slammed an ippon triumph with Three seconds remaining to Advance to the semis. In the semis, Kim edged out Japan's Keita Nagashima with a Golden score win.

The Gold-Medal decider was close as both Kim and Elias received Shido, or Penalty, in the Five-minute duel. At the end of the match, the number of penalties decided the Winner, as the Lebanese Fighter received two shidos, earning One with Kim. "It was a Live-or-Die for Me Because of My daughter. Hoon Chung, a former South English COACH for the 2010 Asiad, had bagged two Titles in 1990 and 1994, while Hwang Hee-tae, a COACH for the Judo Training Squad, had snapped up two STRAIGHT Gold medals in 2006 and 2010. Kim has been the Biggest Judo star in South Korea Since he swept the World Champion title in 2010 and 2011 and won the Olympic Gold in 2012.
